People make the place
After four months, today I'm leaving Philadelphia. My time at Wharton was pretty eventful, and overcoming the different challenges gave me a lot of confidence that great things are within reach.
One takeaway from this experience is that people are paramount. What gives value to places are the people one meets. Also, good people have the same humanity all over the world, the background and culture is just noise around that constant.
I recently asked Robbin, a dear Dutch friend of mine, what his takeaway from the months he spent backpacking in Southeast Asia was. I conclude with his words, which I believe are very wise:
You have to enjoy live in the moment and in the end everything will turn out how it’s supposed to go 🤙🏼
