Essence

I am frequently surprised by how everyday things work reliably in quotidian chaos. Still, sometimes complexity adds up and the original meaning of daily things gets lost. That is the precise moment when dysfunctions start to happen. This is why I believe there is a need for a criterion to rediscover what is essential.

The motto of this blog is Unearthing the essence. My mission is to wipe away the dust of superfluousness by rediscovering the original meaning of things like the archeologist that slowly digs the bones of a dinosaur out of the deposits which have covered it over millions of years.🦖

If it sounds abstract, it is because it is. Still, I prefer to write in general terms to allow the thoughts of this blog to be applicable in most situations. Look around: what is overly complicated? What is the real reason behind a purchase? Why are you doing what you are doing?

Questions give direction to thoughts; asking the most effective ones will lead to discovering the roots of things: their essence. This blog will provide you with hints for questions to ask yourself. I invite you always to doubt and test them: empirics never fails.

Be also sure that in my posts I will examine only queries which surpass my Occam's razor: does the question has a purpose? Every metaphysical question just for its own sake will be left out. For example, the Ship of Theseus paradox can be easily solved using the purpose logic: for the taxman, the boat is the same; for the antique collector, no.

Now I better go to take shovels and sieves: there is a lot to dig. ⛏️
